If this rumor is true screw you Nintendo, just no, this is double/triple dipping.

I can understand restrictions but really? Another fee? I am not motivated to bring a good chunk of the VC library from the 3DS to the Wii U (Or vice versa)

Seriously. It's bad enough I have to pay for the "Updated" emulators for the Wii U to play VC tiels from the Wii (Granted for me I have a deluxe Wii U so I get points back and I only have like 2 NES games an N64 game, and 8 other SNES games that need transferring so I have like 13 bucks to pay) but really? More fees?

Please Nintendo don't be this stupid and please Miiverse speak up about this if it is true.

Meh I really don't care. Besides, it said the game would have to be released on both virtual consoles anyways. Unless they're planning on combining the e-shops, we're basically talking NES games.

Other than that, yeah this is pretty lame on their part, but it's still a rumor. Now if this does turn out to be true, I call BS on Nintendo. If they are combining the e-shops then there is no excuse at this point to not have an integrated account system. Even freaking apple realizes that their virtual content should go across multiple platforms.

Do you really need to have your VC everywhere?

No but it would be nice to have some games on the go or to transfer some of the NES titles I have gotten on the 3DS to be playable on the Big Screen. If this is true there isn't going to be a lot of games being transferred to the 3DS that's for sure.

Looks like Nintendo is banking on their extensive and superior back catalog to nickel and dime consumers.

Bad enough to pay twice for games at full price on Wii and 3DS.

I bought Mega Man 2 and 3 for my Wii and for my 3DS at full price.

They''re dragging their feet on better online integration to make a profit. Can't really blame them for that.

Personally, I prefer my virtual console games on a handheld as opposed to a console.

Some N64, Super Nintendo, and GBA ports for sale would be nice, but it seems to be too much to hope for in this generation of handhelds.

I'm not getting a Wii U, so this doesn't really effect me anyway.

No, But Sony let people tranfer PS1 classics between PSP and PS3, so why not?
