Anyone like the original "fat" DS in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon?

The DS given to you by E. Gadd and it's the game pause menu. The speakers are E.Gadd's face.

Didn't he give the Bros. a DS in Mario and Luigi Partners in Time?

It's pretty crazy to think that the Game Boy Horror was a throwback to an old handheld in the original, and now the old handheld is the first DS.

Loved the "fat" DS' d-pad and buttons. They were firm and responsive the entire time I played it. Also the best version to play games like SM64DS and Mario Kart DS.

DS lite's d-pad got flimsy the more I used it, and had to press harder on it to get a response in the game. The L and R buttons got "stuck" from time to time, too.
Tell Confess-a-Bear, now!

I like that the DS is just used as a map and communication. The GB of horrors was an annoyance compared to having the black light now.

No. E. Gadd did have a device based on the DS, though.
