Is a 3DS worth it for only Mario and Zelda?

you can play 1,000 DS games on it......I'm sure you can find at least 10 other games you would like.

By the end of 2013 there will be 10+ 3DS games worth playing...............at least

More depending on what you like.

Yes for Zelda. No for Mario. If you want the best Mario experience get yourself a GBA and hunt down those Mario Advance games!.

Depends on what you like. I wouldn't advise you to get it just for Mario and Zelda though. I prefer the Vita to 3DS as it has more games I like on it. Just get the handheld that has more of the games you want.

Get it. The mario games in it are great, especially 3d land. It has OoT3d, link's awakening and Lttp2 soon AND it has other great games as well, both 1st and 3rd party, like kid icarus uprising, FIRE EMBLEM AWAKENING!!!!!!, resident evil revelations, etrain odissey 4, soul hackers and many others.

At this point, its hardly worth it for just those two franchises. But it's still better than getting a Vita.

how do you turn this on?

If you need to ask, the answer is NO. Based on your ambivalence I wouldn't run out and buy a Vita either.
