Best original games on or coming to 3DS?

I'm looking forward to Bravely Default and Project X Zone. I know the latter's a sequel of sorts, but NA never had Namco X Capcom.

The most original not rehashed game on the 3DS is probably Fire emblem awakening, as all FE games are their own story, and Kid Icarus: Uprising. Both of these games are very original and of their own kind.

Most original concept I've ever known on the 3DS was Denpamen. Having to catch denpas through wifi signals?

Totally agree with you, especially on the KIU part.

For me, Fire Emblem Awakening and Super Mario 3D Land take the cake for what's out right now. Mario Kart 7 and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate are both excellent if you have friends to play with, but can't wholeheartedly suggest them without the use of their multiplayer modes.

I think the new Legend of Zelda and Bravely Default are very much worth being excited for in the future. Along the same lines as above, I think Super Smash Bros is absolutely worth being very excited for if you have friends you can look to to fight against when it comes out. Smash Bros singleplayer can be somewhat good, too, until your skill level starts to vastly outpace the CPU, but we also don't know if it will have a similar singleplayer component as the previous games.

I'm personally excited to hop into Animal Crossing. I once helped a friend maintain his Gamecube neighborhood one weekend when I was younger and had a blast, and then later bought the DS one but never could quite get invested in it. I'm willing to give New Leaf a shot, though.

And I know they're not going to have a big press conference to get people informed more directly this year, but I think Nintendo might have a trick or two up their sleeve for the 3DS at E3, so I'm really excited to see what's showcased there.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is probably my overall favorite game on the system, though I also think Fire Emblem: Awakening is really good. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers too but its not "original".

For upcoming games? Shin Megami Tensei IV and Bravely Default are up there.

Are you kidding me? People were begging for it to come out in the US for months now.
