I guess that's what I get for being unknown around these parts.....

Well to be fair, a lot of people aren't harassing you, but rather CNN's poor excuse for journalism

That was actually a very good article, and I agree with pretty much everything stated.

"N" has always marched to the beat of their own drum, and it has been a blessing and a curse all at the same time.

The Wii really should have flopped, and I believe things now would be a lot different now(as troubles earlier would have made them make HARD choices). Sadly, due to it's success, "N" went right back to their _$$ backwards way of thinking(We know it all, and we can do it all).

In the past, when there was only one other main competitor this way of thinking worked, now with competition coming from all sides, at all times, they really need to focus more on what are standards, and less of what they think consumers may or may not want.

Nope, try harder.

This post along with this crappy article deserves to get ridiculed. Bet the author is another SonyPony.

Yup.

Wow, you hate Nintendo so much that your trolled and posted this article in both the Wii U and 3DS boards? For one thing, the 3DS is mentioned once. Second, sales numbers disprove the trolls line about the 3DS. 62.8% of the 3DS's sales have come from outside of Japan, it has sold about 10.26 million in the Americas (for comparison, the DS had sold 10.18 million in the same time in its lifespan. Maybe that blogger should check his facts not spout BS. And maybe you TC should stop trolling.

In the same amount of time, the DS hadn't hit its stride. 3DS should have hit its stride day one. THAT is why it's a failure. That GameCube posted a profit doesn't mean that it is a success.

That makes NO SENSE at all, holy crap. That's like claiming the PS3 was a failure for flopping for 3 whole years.

At least people are pointing it out. I would think the fact that PS3 had a slow start, 3DS had a slow start, WiiU is having a slow start, and even DS had a slow start. Would say the flukey type a sales a PS2 garnered from PS1 was not the norm. Wii was a fluke system of a different nature. These people seem to think PS4 and Next box is going to mince some Nintendo. But you know what Vita, thats what they said about that. Gone are the dominating king days, only a fluke fad will cause one to dominate, and game wise it's to divided now a days.

All these prove are the media is biased against Nintendo regardless of their position.

The 3DS was designed with the intention of recapturing the DS' success. While it has, it's simply repeating what the DS had to go through, if even worse since they did their historically largest and quickest price drop. Recapturing the success of the DS would entail that at launch it should be moving consoles like hotcakes. It was notably lagging. Frequent droughts, high prices, low quality first party offerings for a long time, etc. Those are not recipes for success.

The comparison with the PS3 is an apt one because the PS3 IS a failure. That Sony is now in second place, and that they now are making money, is because they hunkered down in a terrible situation. The PS3 was supposed to do the same as PS2, if not better - clearly evident with how confident Kutaragi was with the pricing scheme. The PS2, we all remember, was the clear market dominator. It was so much more successful than everything else that it was in its own class. PS3 isn't even -close- to that. It's fighting for second - a better second than Xbox and GameCube fought over but still second - it's lost them a lot of money, and because of how they designed/marketed it, Sony may never reach the prestige that they once had. So, yeah, that's a failure.
