If you have never played OoT, than I would definitely get that one first.

I like OoT more on the N64. Link doesn't roll as awkwardly and there are a plethora of glitches to exploit. The 3ds version is still pretty good though.

werent the glitches purposely retained?

It is a remake, not my fault you people think ports are remakes (but only on Nintendo systems)-Demondog666 on Kid Icarus Uprising

That game has its own set. I only really know of the new way to superslide and that one gravedigging heart piece that you can get again and again.

The Tales port is alright, it's just the same exact game as the PS2 version with 3D and much shorter load times. Not worth buying again if you have the PS2 version, while I can easily recommend OOT3D to someone who's already played the original.

Shorter load times and portability are more than enough reasons to re-purchase it for the 3DS imo.

Thanks for the opinions guys, between the comments here and a discussion with the guy in the game store I picked Ocarina of Time. Tales of the Abyss will be bought eventually but I'm unsure when. Was also told to try Majora's Mask if I can get my hands on it.

Thanks :)

Most of the glitches are all still in the game. They are just encountered and activated differently due to the button remapping (ocarina a permanent button) and items/equipment changing value (boots are now items).

It was my first 3ds game too.

Same here. On that subject, anyone else get OoT3D as their first game, even though you got the system at launch?

I know a lot of people were complaining about no games, but I was just fine with all my DS games. I knew the floodgates would open in time.

While I love OoT, I don't feel its a good "first" game to get into the series. but thats just me.
