When was the last time Nintendo made a 2D game?

Get with the times, if you want old stuff, get it off the VC, otherwise the future is pretty third dimensional.

Games like Mark of the Ninja, Muramasa and Dust: An Elysian Tail disagree with you.

I was hardly suggesting that, but with the case of the 3DS, it looks to be all 3d. Considering the gimmick.

And there you go. That's the problem with the 3DS in a nutshell.

That's the thing though, they're awesome.

Shantae: Risky's Revenge? Great. Mighty Switch Force? That's good too.

But Nintendo has a distinct flavor that other companies simply cannot replicate.

It's a shame that Nintendo has simply forgone 2D sprites all together. And we'll never see another game that mixes these flavors together again.
