Since the matter popped up, here's last week sales in Italy, dominated by the one and only DK: http://it.ign.com/news/6490/un-gorilla-in-testa-alle-classifiche-italiane

Keep in mind these refer to the week before Animal Crossing went on sale, so we'll only know if it did as well over here in a few days. I'm confident it has.

It's kinda sad that FIFA13 is topping charts here in Italy on almost every console, but whatever, at least there's some sensible gamers too.

AC was pretty popular the other times, I was actually surprised by how many people had wild world at the time, I guess it'll do great this time too, have already seen ads and plenty of people buying it.

While the Italian weekly sales charts generally depress me (with FIFA being firmly and forever in first place the whole year long), I believe UK charts are pretty similar. Too many European gamers are football junkies and not much else... >_>
