Why is the Fire Emblem demo suddenly gone from the eshop...?

the update was designed to stop a flash cart that's not even out yet!

the company releasing it has time to work on a workaround before release

people who pirate know better than to system update

only "legitimate" customers are impacted

lolNintendo

Don't worry: those pirates who don't update are punished by not being able to access the shop where games can be bought instead of pirated.

Wait, something doesn't sound right with that...

What do you suggest they do then?
You think it's stupid that Nintendo is trying to get ahead of these hackers and try and prevent the system from getting hacked in the first place?
And people always try and look for more holes in software. Hence why Microsoft and many other software companies issues patches on a regular basis?
Are they stupid too?

Just stop posting. Please. You're just embarrassing yourself.

Nope, it's obviously much better for them to piss on the people who actually pay money for their games in order to spite the ones who weren't going to anyway. I mean, that is what you're saying, right? You're cool, as a paying customer, with Nintendo doing stuff like this in order to "get ahead" of someone who, by definition, wasn't going to spend money on software to begin with?

I have a feeling that Nintendo is able to stop people running out of date versions of the system from accessing online features (though I don't think they do so at this point).
