Okay so I think I screwed up (system transfer)

So I bought an XL and did a system transfer from my old regular DS. Everything went fine, but in the end it wanted me to put my old SD card on the XL. I bought an 8GB card and put it in the XL before the system transfer.

Now, I can only use my old SD card to access my save data from my digital games like Animal Crossing and Paper Mario. If I switch back to my new SD card that I used during the system transfer, my digital games don't have any saved data.

So, is there something I did wrong or anything I can do?

I think you can switch the data between cards via a computer's SD slot.

Copy your old SD card contents to your new SD card via a PC.

Make sure you don't select 'create new data' for streetpass plaza.

Should fix it...

I nearly screwed mine up to :)

for the record, copy EVERYTHING from one SD card to the other. E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.
if that's not working, format the destination SD card and try again.
if that's still not working, call nintendo customer service and have them walk you through the process.
Seriously, that's how it works.

Yeah, this is kinda the reason I recomend people upgrade there sd card before they do a transfer. Once you've learned how to copy the original sd card to a new sd card correctly the transfer goes easy and you end up with the new bigger card in the correct 3ds.
All is not lost though.
You just need to make a folder on your pc copy everything on the old sd card to that directory. Basicly click on the first folder on the sd card then hold the shift button down and then highlight everything else showing on the card. Then drag all that highlighted stuff to the empty folder.
Then after everything is in that folder do the reverse and copy it to the new sd card.
Make sure you copy what is in the folder you made and not the folder you made.
