Considering its sequel is coming soon, wouldn't it be a wise move for Nintendo to release the first game on VC to give new players a chance to get into the older Zeldas?

More likely for Wii U than 3DS.

Isn't it already on WiiU? I was under the impression it got the Wii's entire VC library and they're slowly updating the individual games to support WiiU features.

Oh sweet Jesus I hope so. It's my favorite LOZ ever, better than OOT or Twilight Princess (which are tied for second place). I'm so psyched for the sequel, its not even funny. Although, it feel into the same trap that pokemon did. I like the fact that they're making more games, but without 2d sprites, it doesn't feel right. I prefer the SNES/Gameboy look.

Technically, you CAN play it on Wii U, but you don't get the save states, control options, off-tv play, and a Miiverse community.

Second favorite for me. I love it so much, but I love Wind Waker a bit more.

It's confirmed to be coming to Wii U VC, here in Europe at least.

NoE put out a Wii U VC promo video and it featured aLttP, Super Mario Bros 3, Street Fighter II, among others.

For it to be on the 3DS there'd have to be SNES support.

Which they for some reason didn't anticipate people wanting after they put in NES support.

It doesn't necessarily have to be the SNES version for the 3DS VC. They could always give us the GBA version of LttP, complete with the Four Swords game since that was also released at one point. I'm hoping they either release the game alongside the sequel's release, or maybe make the original game a bonus unlockable on the sequel, but that's far more wishful thinking on my part.

Right, that's what I just said. You can play it but you don't get WiiU features. And what's wrong with just playing it like its an SNES game? You say it like lacking save states ruins the experience.
