Is there a way I can redownload my old VC purchases from when I owned a regular DS? Here's what I originally had at the time:
UNO Rayman Move Your Brain Rollway Puzzle Looksley's Line Up Earthworm Jim Castle Of Magic Shantae: Risky's Revenge
Thankfully, they're all registered under my Club Nintendo account. So would I be able to contact Nintendo directly and have them transfer the licenses over to my 3DS? Because I do not feel like re-purchasing these games again (especially Shantae since it's currently $12 at the moment).
Any help would be appreciated. --- PSN ID: ecosvaldo | 3DS Friend Code: 2707-1633-0103 | PC: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/ABH
You can try calling Nintendo and asking if they will merge your 3DS purchases. I've had them transfer the purchases from an old one to a new one, so they can do it. Just tell them the old one was broken and you just found out that they can do this. --- PSN/XBL- Nifterific SSF4AE: Balrog, Evil Ryu | UMvC3: C.Viper/Morrigan/Hulk | MK9: Noob Saibot, Cyber Sub-Zero | SFxTK: Ryu/Guile
There's system transfer, but if you don't still have your DSi, you will have to contact Nintendo directly to try and get them to do it for you. I don't know if it would work, since I haven't had to do it that way. Good luck.
Well, I just got off the phone with them and said there's nothing they can do since the games you download are tied to the system. This really sucks! --- PSN ID: ecosvaldo | 3DS Friend Code: 2707-1633-0103 | PC: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/ABH
I just sent an email to Customer Support. In there, I asked if there's a way they can send me download vouchers for the games or e-Shop store credit to repurchase the games (just those seven games alone, I spent $48). Let's see what they're going to say. --- PSN ID: ecosvaldo | 3DS Friend Code: 2707-1633-0103 | PC: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/ABH
And this is why you do your research before getting rid of old systems. No one in their right mind is gonna argue that Nintendo shouldn't have an account system in place by now, but the fact is they don't, so it's up to us to protect our own stuff. --- http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s277/keyblader1985/keyblader.jpg You only need one T-Rex to make the point, though. ~ Samus Sedai
