Kid Icarus Uprising is severely underrated

Practically everyone who said KI:U was overrated couldn't get past the "bad" controls even though the tutorial clearly stated you could change the controls to something else if you didn't like the default controls(I actually liked the default controls). Does anybody have basic reading comprehension or are you all too lazy to just change the controls? It's a great game once you either get used to the default controls or change the controls to your liking, but it seems like most of you people never gave the game more than an hour to play and gave up on it when you probably never even knew about changing the "bad" controls.

The people bashing Kid Icarus: Uprising's controls are only a vocal minority:

There were ideas that I liked about, but that game gave me a lot of frustrations.

- The controls: They were fine for the air segments, but for land that's another story. It needed a stand and you constantly had to look both screens for power ups, using the camera, and look at the top screen. That's a goddamn mess. Maybe you can work around it by customizing, but you're still gonna have the whole dual screens to worry about.

- The script is just bad: There times that it can be a little funny. Majority of the game, I wanted everyone to SHUT UP. God awful references to real life, anime-esque writing at its worst, and characters that really annoyed me.

- the shops: I can't believe no one ever talked about this. The shops are straight up BS. It constantly changes, it's expensive, and they all SUCK. If fusion didn't exist, then people would've noticed it more.

I'd give it a 6.5 or 7. Dunno, need to play it again since its been awhile.

This, pretty much. I liked the game, but the controls were f**king terrible. I never finished it.

Why didn't you change the controls if you didn't like them?

I personally think its overrated not underrated.

Terrible controls and terrible voice work/script/story.

The gameplay is sometimes fun with certain weapons but otherwise it has too many faults to be good.

The only problem I had with the game was the controls and the length of the levels. Seriously, later on the levels take about 30 min, and with those controls you feel tired at the end.

The controls are excellent, they're just hard to get used to.

For the first week or so I cursed them out all the time, but once I got used to them, I couldn't imagine playing a game like that without them. The ability to swiftly aim and move the camera is invaluable, and that kind of precision is great to have.

A lot of people gave up on the controls too quickly. I guess I can't blame them, it is a rather steep curve to get around, but once you master them they're almost perfect.
