Buying a bundle, should I get Super Mario 3D Land or Mario Kart 7?

So there is a bundle going on for a 3ds xl that has the system, a game, a starter kit, and a $20 eshop card all for $259. There is a huge selection of games to choose from, but I've narrowed it done to those two (still open for other suggestions).

What is the starter kit?

Power a red 3DS XL starter kit. Has a case, screen protectors, extra styluses (stylii?), headphones, and two game cases. Pretty neat I guess.

It sounds ideal but if it is negotiable I would talk it down about 20 bucks if you can

I'd go with 3D Land. Mario Kart 7 is fun, but the way you unlock new kart parts is by collecting a lot of coins, and you can only get a maximum of 40 per circuit, so it takes a while. Plus, the part you get is completely random. This killed the replayability for me, since I could play for hours and get nothing worth while.

3D Land on the other hand, is really fun. I thought I was finished with it, then discovered there's a secret world for every regular world. The length, plus finding all of the golden coins for each level, will keep you entertained for a while.

I mean a case would help if it is carried around a lot. and the XL doesn't exactly need a screen protector unless you need it. stylus are just extra to carry around. Also a game case is needed if those two games came physical. Which you did not specify, but if they did and you do want to purchase, then go with it. otherwise you are buying at the price they did I would still try to talk it down

Yeah it's not negotiable because its from a store. I still don't know if its worth it, because I can just get the system and both of those games at amazon for the same price since amazon has both games for $30 each. But then again this bundle comes with a $20 prepaid card as well...

I am not sure how active the MK7 on-line is currently. It is my most played 3DS game at 190 hours due to on-line play. It was much easier to acquire some kart parts playing on-line and acheiving a high VR than collection coins (as stated limit of 40 per Grand Prix).

I enjoyed both games to be honest, but Kart has a lot more replay value. Mario 3D Land was really fun, but I plowed through that game quickly because Skyward Sword was released a few weeks later. . .

If you go to Best Buy or order from them you can buy the XL, whatever game you want, and a case for cheaper than that bundle i think.
