Just found out one thing today

Going digital is just almost as safe as physical. A co-worker of mine got all her XBox stuff stolen with 50 games...they were all retail, now she has to go and rebuy all the games and system that will cost $10,000 +. In reality you can suffer the same issue with physical that you do with digital, if you get robbed...then there goes the game, just maybe if your all digital its less appealing to see just the system? Idk how their minds work, the only thing i'm leary on digital is...what if 10 years from now I try to do a digital transfer....and the server isn't available? Whats your fear with all digital thats stopping you? (PS no xbox war)

i don't like the idea of paying full price for a digital version, when i can just get the physical and re-sell when i'm done with it, or collect if i see fit.

I think you over calculated the price of an Xbox and 50 games.

Digital sucks. You cant transfer it to another system so if your system breaks, your screwed.

$10,000? That's not even possible. Not only would every one of those games need to be extremely rare and expensive, but they would also need to "all" be factory sealed. The Xbox would also need to be a factory sealed limited edition Mountain Dew edition Xbox, and even then they wouldn't be worth anywhere near $10,000.

That is one huge embellishment.

If your house gets robbed that is one thing. They could take your system and all your physical games, although, I think robbers would look for stuff with more value, like jewelry and stuff.

But with Nintendo, I don't think it matters, if your system gets stolen, I think your digital games are gone just as much as your physical games. The saving grace of physical is if your system gets stolen while you are out, I doubt you will bring all of your physcial games with you, whereas your digital games are always with you.

Plus even if my house gets robbed, I don't keep my games and system together. I keep my system on the table and my games are in a closet in another room (I have a three year old son, that should answer why)

Besides the point that my system is always with me...if I get robbed while I am out, there is no indication that I even have a game system in the house.

Renter's insurance. My entire game collection is covered. In the event I am robbed I get ~$50,000 to replace it. Problem solved. Physical > digital

Once Nintendo implements an account system I will go all digital for this reason. If my PS3 was stolen or my PC was, I have an account to re obtain all my stuff. If it was physical, it would be all gone

Pretty much this. But also if your system breaks or you lose it. Using your bank information you can at least get the credit back to rebuy the games but your pretty much left out as far as the system goes. In which renters insurance would probably cover it.

Yes, 50 games might be worth over a thousand, but nowhere near 10,000.
