3DS XL's battery, anyways to maximize or expand it?

#1RayKnightPosted 8/16/2013 11:22:15 PM
I'm usually playing with WiFi switched on and I set my brightness at 3. With irregular playing, it can last about 2 days on Animal Crossing (even with sleep mode) and 1 1/2 day with MH3U.

Currently using a plastic protection case and the Club Nintendo Mario poach.

I was wondering if there's a battery pack or something, or if there are any advice on maximizing the battery life so I don't have to charge so frequently and yet still can fit AT LEAST into the Club Nintendo Poach?

The only battery pack I was able to find, but rather expensive.

I would recommend playing with the power saving option and drop your brightness by one level.

I'm worried that one day I'll be getting a drink of water from a water fountain and someone will come up behind me and slam my head down.

I have the mugen battery and it lasts 20 hours on brightness 3 with power saving(no wifi, no 3d). Only downside is very bulky and most 3ds cases will not work with it.

why not just plug it in every night? 2 days is a long time for an electronic to last >_>

Well turn down the brightness. While you are charging do not play with the 3ds and also while it is charging turn off the wifi(might as well shut it completely off.) But for expansion, just buy an extra battery and charge it then switch out when it is running low

I will tone down to Brightness 2 and turn off WiFi while charging, thanks for that.

I will check out the Mugen battery pack. Speaking of batteries, I read there's one other brand called Nyko or something that was spelt with Ny-something.

Is that better than Mugen or is Mugen better?

I have the mugen pack also and it adds so much battery life. The low battery indicator would be flashing for over an hour. Talk about false alarm.

The Nyko battery pack you mentioned TC only works with the original 3DS model unfortunately.
