Should I get art academy on Club Nintendo if I'm a horrible drawer?

Like so bad that I can't draw stick figures doing anything but standing with arms to their side bad.

I've never invested in the series but it seems like to me in the way its advertised that it shows you how to draw better. Then again, you can take a few pointers from the interwebs including how to draw or even get pointers of how to hold a pencil for art. Some artists use all of their fingers in order to draw more properly shapes. Find the method that is right for you and get drawing advice.

Yes, the pixels are bigger when the pixels are bigger.

I haven't used Art Academy (outside of sketchpad for Wii U) but, if you want to learn, it looks like a decent resource.

That said, if you're really interested in learning --- you should get in a lot of practice in whatever ways you can, as much as you can. Pick up tips from other artists and experiment!

I'm not much of a hand-drawing artist... I do more 3D stuff, but I think I've actually improved poses / perspective thanks to that. Well, at least I hope I've improved in both areas over the past 8 years; I still hate most of my art seconds after completing it. XD

AA teaches you how to draw though, so yes you may get some use out of it.

i just spent coin on it since i just wanna know what is it. then i learn that this game is not for me.

if u don't plan on learn how to draw, don't buy it. you will rarely touch it like me. it's not a game but a teaching software.

It is not just teaching software. You can open a blank canvas and draw or paint whatever you want as well. It will tech you a few tricks and show you some techniques, then you can practice all you want later.

I say go for it. It's really nice, and the 3DS version is even better.

first of all it is super cheap, 4 (I assume 4 $) for a great sketch pad with actually some nice painting software (okay, it could be better)

also, see it that way, if you ever wanted to play Pictionary on a big screen with lots of people and you don't have a board, than this is ideal.

I think we're all horrible drawers. Because we're humans. We don't even fit in a cabinet, and you can't store much inside us.

well, right now the Wii U version is just a digital sketch pad, and for 4 I think it is really great. It doesn't teach you how to draw (yet), so it really is just a blank canvas

It really won't be that much useful for people who'd rather game than draw. But as with many things, the more you do it the better you get, until maybe you get to the point where you wanna do it with real life drawing tools.
