Is the 3DS ever getting SNES games?

All we get is NES , GB and GG games. what's up with nintendo not putting SNES games on the 3DS eshop. It would be great to play some SNES titles on the go.

Probably not, unless there's some eShop/account merger thing planned.

Probably not. The 3DS' Virtual Console service emphasizes other handheld games. NES games are an anomaly.

They'll put them on there at some point.

I'd say it's just a matter of time, especially with the push Earthbound fans are making for it to show up on the 3DS e-shop...and even Nintendo has admitted it's not outside the realm of possibility....

I met a Nintendo rep a few weeks ago while she was checking in at a local Gamestop I frequent, and asked her about Earthbound on the 3DS...she said to keep asking for it on Nintendo's Facebook and Twitter pages...they're fully aware of the demand.... ;)

Maybe after GBA games appear on the Wii U's virtual console.

Honestly, just get a cheap Wii or WiiU if you want snes games. The 3ds vc was meant for handheld, nes probably just don't take as much effort to produce.
PS Plus is one of the best video game rental service.

They can't even get GBA games to work in 3DS mode well, I highly doubt we'll see SNES games.
