How come IGN and Gamespot say Paper mario is better than Mario & Luigi?

Cause it is better, well the first two games are better. Much better.

Superstar Saga > First two PM games.

There is no way in hell Superstar Saga is better than Thousand Year Door. I don't care that the concept of "opinion" exists. What you said simply doesn't make sense. You'd be making more sense claiming 2+2=5 right now.

TTYD is more flawed that a lot of people give it credit for:
- Quick Change badge is not balanced at all and totally breaks the game.
- Earth Tremor is seriously OP for the time in the game that you get it.
- Too many enemies which are just minor variations on previous enemies.
- Most enemies are recurring from PM64.
- Boring level design.
- Far too much tedious backtracking.
- Only one boss in both Chapter 6 and Chapter 7.
- Only two partners provide new field actions, one of which is optional.
- Shopping for items is tedious.

And BTW, TTYD is one of my favorite games of all time.

More villains need to be protagonists. BIS proves it can work.
Ridley, Ganondorf, Fawful, Bowser, and Dimentio all for their own games!

The one about the enemies is quite true.

I love how most people here never actually played Dream Team.

What makes you say that? (I have, for the record, and I loved it)

That would explain why most people here are complaining about the tutorials in that game.
