Mario Party: Island Tour - Continues to ruin friendships!

I didn't watch all of it but I have two questions:

1) Do we know if we can turn off motion sensors and such in the game? They're fun in moderation, but my friends and I don't like to use them constantly and would like the option for traditional controls.

2) I heard there's single cartridge play. Does that mean I can buy the game, and my friends can come over and play it with me? Or are only certain game modes (like minigames) available with that feature?

Damn you NoE ;_;

To be fair, the game was set to be released in Europe on the same day as Mario 3D World and A Link Between Worlds. Yeah, there was no genre overlap, but there definitely was overlap from Nintendo fans. I, for instance, will already be bleeding money that day from getting the two aforementioned games, I'm glad I don't have to outright throw away my wallet to get three.
Had a Street Fighter signature for four years, but Crapcom doesn't deserve such recognition anymore.
