My L & R buttons have stopped working. :-(

I'm really disappointed because I've had it for less than 2 years and the buttons have been having issues for a while now but they're basically dead now. I tried to clean it but it didn't do any good. There are a couple places that offer to repair for $90.for that prince I might as well get a new one. And it's really not in my budget anyway. Any other ideas?

This is a sign to get a 3DS XL.

I thought about getting an XL but that might be kinda bulky to carry around in my pocket.

Well then, you either get it fixed, or buy a new one.

A temporary fix which works on my original DS is to blow into the buttons from underneath. It gets kind of annoying and doesn't work to 100% though.

It would. But you could just put it in a bag, couldn't you? I never carried my original 3ds around in my pocket.

Not true. Everything after the ds lite has had trigger issues. They are much less of a frequent issue with the lite and everything before it. They dsi was where the quality took a gigantic nosedive.
