Is a 2DS worth buying if i don't have much money

I have really bad social anxiety and the only time I get money is on my Birthday and Christmas. I would buy Animal Crossing: New Leaf with it because that would last me all year. A 2DS is 109.99 whereas a 3DS is about 144.99 and a 3DS XL is 179.99.

Well yes, it's made specifically for people who'd rather spend less than the asking price for a 3DS or an XL. If the absence of stereoscopic 3D isn't a make-or-break point for you, then go for it.

Had a Street Fighter signature for four years, but Crapcom doesn't deserve such recognition anymore.

Does the 3D make any difference in Animal Crossing?

It's there, but it never makes any gameplay importance. It's just an additional visual effect, same as any other game.
