So, some games make you have to share your 3ds FC....

What I want to know is, if you do share your 3ds fc, what are you exactly sharing with people? I mean like, what information? I have been refusing on some games to share my 3ds friend code because I just shouldn't have to share my 3ds fc when they could have made a separate fc for the game.

What games make you share your friend code? It's optional in any game with online.

You just share the friend code and your user name. No personal info is shared.

People hated individual friend codes for each game on the DS. I'm glad they changed it to one friend code for everything.

That was one of the major criticisms of the DS and especially Wii games with online play. Having one universal Friend Code is MUCH better. The issue now is the 100 Friend limit.

I agree.

I'd still like to know what games tc is playing that make you enter your friend code.

Is that really it?

Yes. Nintendo themselves warn players not to share any personal information online. All the Friend Code shares is your name and Mii.

no, is a conspiracy, your FC allows the men in Black to know where you are at all times, and know your social sec number, and all your ID numbers, and can track you down even if the 3DS is turned off and at a friends house.

Is the limit really an issue? Serious question, no condescension, sarcasm or fanboying. It just never seemed like an issue to me, it's not like Facebook where you add everyone you know.

Well, I guess for some games, it is. Like in Pokemon XY, where you actually get more Friend Safaris depending on how many friends you have registered.
