Nintendo is Big Brother! They were watching and reading our Swapnotes!?!?!

#1AwesomeOSaucePosted 11/1/2013 2:39:51 AM
HOLY S***

this is unacceptable.
I thought these were private messages between friends.
So basically nintendo has been reading all of our messages.

How else would Nintendo know that people have been sending bad stuff to each other?
Its obvious that they monitored the sent messages.

this makes me sick! >:(

Also

1) you have to exchange friend codes with someone to send them a message.
2) Nintendo has parental controls and they constantly say not to exchange with strangers.

ITS NOT NINTENDOS FAULT if someone got something "naughty"

Also on the PS3 and Xbox online services you can send messages to anyone you want even if they aren't your friends. you can just message any stranger you want.

Why does Nintendo always feel like they are my mom and dad and need to PROTECT TEH CHILDRENZZZ!

?

Maybe people made complaints because they were receiving naughty stuff?

they Nintendo should have told them its their fault for

Not enabling parental controls
exchanging friend codes with strangers or people that aren't close friends
failing to read their warnings when starting the software, the 3ds manual etc.

Nintendo is not at fault yet they chose to act like it is.

Because, despite what some people insist, Nintendo knows the Internet. They are probably having difficulty telling trolls, idiots and actual children apart, though, and think kids make up a sizeable proportion of Internet users.

Heavens knows I sometimes find it hard to tell the difference.

it is a good assumption ontheir part because they believe their product is marketed generally for kids

1000% agreed! that's why they HAVE PARENTAL CONTROLS!!
and I swear I've had more than 80 friends on swapnote for more than a year now, and only ONE time I got something that could even be consider naughty (drawn hentai pic from one of my friends)
other than that, nothing... you know part me wishes I got more "naughty" notes.
i'm way over 18 BTW so I don't care...

Try spamming them with complaints and tell them if they keep doing stuff like this, you'll buy sony stuff instead:

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/webform/

And then when they don't do it, decide if you keep getting nintendo stuff or not..
