Buy 2 get 1 free at target.
1.buy any 2 $40 game and get a third one free spend 80.
2.then return it without a gift card to get 120 in store credit.
3.go to unsuspecting customer and ask if they can give you 120 in cash and you buy their things up to $120.
4. ???
5. profit.($40)
rinse repeat

alternatively you could buy 2 get one free. return them get $120 gift card, then rebuy games after they've been price matched from amazon, which usually sell for 30, giving you 4 games in all instead of 3.

obviously this wouldnt be fool proof and that would be a lot of work and really risky so option 2 seems better off.

Why would the store give you $120 for games you paid $80 for?

because theyre essentially giving you a game for free which means you can return it. if you dont have a receipt they accept it in exchange for store credit. so 3 games at $40 each.

I'm not understanding how you're getting the two games for $40 each. Unless you're taxes are either very little.

So you're basically betting on the employees being completely braindead.

This won't work since electronics and media have a slightly different return policy. One requiring a receipt. Also special promotions like that are non-refundable.
