Which save system

Long story short if you save inside the cannon room something happens.

The cannon room is the one they use to launch you into the desert with. I'm not exactly even sure how you would save save there but my advice is to just not save there.

there is another glitch I know of that involves saving but as far I know it doesn't break your game.

That glitch as far I know is only really one of thos cool glitches you show off as a party trick.

It's not just the cannon room.
Pretty much any time a cutscene happens, saving before leaving the area is likely to be a game-ender.

Either works

This and depends on how it use.

Save Anyway-might screw you especially if there is only one save sot
Save Point-depends on where they are. Before a huge long as dungeon with a hard boss fight and dungeon is either easy or hard and just tedious going through every time you die on boss. FFFFFF. One before dungeon and one before boss fight. Ok!

Save points are fine, but I prefer save anywhere. Mostly because some developers like to put tons of hours between save points to screw over players, or purposely provide droughts of them later in the game and that's crap. Not everyone has the time for that.

save points, with the ability to quicksave anywhere.

oh, and skippable cutscenes.
