3DS LttP Zelda (whatever it's called...lol) worth the $40?

#1tacomachefPosted 2/11/2014 9:02:47 AM
I ask, because I have Amazon gift cards...

so, for $40, I could get THAT...

or, I could get two games like Project X Zone and Scribblenauts: DC...

How is Project X zone, btw? I've never been THAT big into strategy games, although I LOVED advance wars...

(I mentioned the DC Scribblenauts game, too, because it's $20, and my kids'll probably think it's really neat...)

So, thoughts? what's a better buy? Please feel free to list opinions of these games or other suggestions.

Thanks,

-E

Yes, Link between Worlds is totally worth it at 40$. It's the best Zelda game we got in a long while, even without nostalgia (my gf never played LttP and totally loved it).

Stay far away from Project X Zone. There's zero strategy involved. This is just fan-service stuff, but you've seen all the characters after 50% of the game, and then, the rest of it become LOOOONG and TEDIOUS fights, which required zero thinking.

As for Scribblenauts, well it's Scribblenauts, it's indeed perfect for kid, but there's no real challenge to be found here.

New Super LTTP feels like a lazy, lazy rehash, along the lines of a New Super Mario Bros. game. Basically ALBW is to ALTTP as NSMB is to SMB3, except there's even less different. It's a total rehash. It's more like a remake than a new game tbh.
