2DS owners, your thoughts on the system?

My 3DSXL has had problems with its hinge from freakin day one and now some of the plastic came of... :/ so I'm going to sell it before it gets any worse and has no value.

I thought of going for something more resistant and since I don't even use the 3D anyway I'm thinking about going for the 2DS. How is the system turning out for you so far?

The original 3DS is also more resistant than the XL but I really hate that glossy finish. It was a fingerprint magnet... >.<

Personally l like the mushy buttons and the lack of screen scratching issue. Though the mono sound is a downer and l don't see why the wireless couldn't have stayed a switch.

I don't mind the mono sound since it's what I use on the XL, the speakers are not loud enough for stereo or surround in my opinion.

No wireless switch is indeed a downer though. :/ I use the breeding O-Power a lot in Pokemon Y so the wireless switch was very convenient.

Makes me want to save up for a 2DS. Seems like the XL has a shorter lifespan than the other two systems with that right hinge. :(

I bought one for my brother but then found that I loved the design and how it felt and kept it for myself and gave my brother my 3DS while I took the 2ds, to me it feels like a tank or something, its pretty sturdy that's for sure. and also you don't have to worry about that dumb self scratching issue that the 3DS has.

I like mine a lot. It's sturdy and does its job well. Also cheap enough for me to play 3ds games.

I dont like the battery though. I keep wireless on for streetpass and it cant seem to last more than 24 hours. 48 if I let it idle to just collect streetpass.

Lol XD
The sturdy build really is tempting.

@Super_Archer
Well that does suck. :/ But my wireless is mostly off at least. Streetpass is useless were I live.

My brother got it and I like it too. It's very sturdy, and he plays Monster Hunter with it for hours without getting some kind of cramp.

I also like the mushy buttons. For a single speaker, it's almost as loud as my regular 3DS, but louder than the XL.
