I've seen people say that they have gold and platinum status.. what's that about?

Europe has their own version of Club Nintendo, which works a bit differently, I believe:

As far as I know, Europe doesn't have Gold and Platinum statuses. We just save up out points and spend them, we don't get bonuses for hitting a certain amount.

Don't be down Lokeku. Europe may not have a platinum or gold status, but the rewards are generally better. I know I'm envious of the 3D World soundtrack that was available in what I assume is your region.
