Do you see a lot of people playing with a Vita/3DS in public transportation?

For those of you that take public transportation a lot.

3DS once in a while, Vita seems rare.

I've seen a few people play their 3ds on campus. I have never seen a vita being played anywhere.

Never seen a Vita that's not at a demo kiosk, and even those are rare (and I'm in Chicago, so not exactly an unpopulated area.)

3DS, I usually see a few every month at random on the CTA, never Metra or Pace. I did happen to get two hits while skulking around a potential college choice today, so that's gonna motivate me in my decision, haha. But, I usually average 15 or so non-organized hits a month, which could be improved... But then again, HOMEPASS.

Japan, specifically Akihabara is the best place for a gamer, anime watcher, manga reader, figure collector, electronics lover, ect to go. Gaming is crazy popular and I run into many people who game constantly and think nothing of it. The only problem is bringing the stuff back to the states if you buy too much as it becomes harder to transport. Though you could always ship it. I was in Akihabara when MH4 was releasing and the line went on for miles it seemed.

O nice!!

Is it only really prevalent in Akihabara? What about other places in Japan?

How friendly are the gamers? Did you converse with them?
