New money glitch! Hear me out.

When the new money glitch appears in Forza 4 (there will be one...there always has been one), can we go through this thread and lay down some ground rules?

1. People who glitch will glitch. It is their game to do with as they please.

2. People who money glitch and bring the funds into the AH to buy unicorns, etc (possibly buying expensive cars most people cannot own and finding them to be LB cars)may ruin the game for many other people.

3. People who do the money glitch but keep it offline are not ruining the game for anyone else.

4. Money glitchers do it at their own risk of getting caught and slapped by T10.

5. We can agree to disagree and not bring the stupid fights into each and every thread.

Actually, let's just skip the whole debate. Everyone get to the Auction House and make money legitimately. It's far easier to do than any money exploit, it can actually be fun, and you will never be banned.

It's win/win.

You know how well that works though...

If there is a money glitch I am sure there will be the usual headhunting, fighting, etc.

Auction Hunting was fun for a while for me but one day I spent way too much time doing the same repetitive motion (going through each car, selling parts, rinse, repeat), that I made the muscles sore in my thumbs.

After that I didn't do the AH for more than an hour a time.

Well, so long as people keep rule #4 in mind, there shouldn't be.

Now we all know that Turn 10 monitors this stuff and what they will do if they find out.

Far less repetitive than glitching for credits, LOL. I made about 10-20 million a day, and it could be exciting winning a bidding war, or getting an expensive car for dirt cheap.

If there is a money glitch, I'm gonna play smart this time. Wait for the commotion to die down, create an alt account and glitch, patch and transfer via AH/gift cars.

How romantic, they now sell engagement rings with cancellation insurance.

I'll be glitching for sure.

I love sports. Buffalo, NY is a cool city. LA sucks though.
CNET is a joke

If they make the McLaren 3.8 million, and the Zonda R 2.4 or so etc, I'll probably do it for that. I don't care about the auction house, but if i want a car, I want to be able to get it

W-I-T-H-O-U-T

grinding for weeks. It's so stupid. Games are supposed to be fun, not imitating NASCAR in a parking lot for a hours at a time.

I'll promise not to ***** about other people glitching.

But I can't guarantee I won't chuckle a bit when some people get caught!!!

I plan on doing it, but I don't do it for the auction house anyway, just want to be sure I have enough cred to buy the cars I want.

I don't see anything wrong with it, but I did it in 3 and I'm gonna do it again in 4 so meh, I guess.

I know this will sound like a dumb question since it was always addressed on the F3 board, but what exactly did the money glitch do to screw up the auction house? I'm not sure that I really understand the situation.

Well, people threw money at the Unicorn cars. They would go for insane prices. 150,000,000+ credits. So people who didn't glitch didn't have much of a chance at owning them.

In general, people just threw money around. Turn 10 took off the Unicorns eventually and the Auction House was taken over by modders who kept putting up 250 GTOs.

There was also the VW Rabbit scandal on here. One of the first modders actually set a bunch of GameFAQs users up by buying out their cars for 999,999,999 credits. I was suspended at the time for some shenanigans and watched the whole thing go down. I tried to warn people it was a trap and that modders had finally cracked Turn 10/Microsoft's security, but that just got me muted on FM.net!

So I had to send messages over XBL and no one got them in time.

In retrospect, that was probably pretty funny, although it wasn't as funny as when a couple other GameFAQs users and myself discovered the Birthday Trick. Boy, did that ever start riots.

(it's also how Error invited me to TWSS I think)
