Timed Mines?...

IMO completly useless and a waste of a gadget slot.
Im a lvl 56 now and I use mines on sniper and shotgun loadouts and still 2/3 of my Strata/ ivana loadouts have hi cap. I just think those extra bullets are so useful.
Anyway, my point is that why would any level 18/19+ (I think thats wen u unlock them) use them instead of hi cap wen even with a shotgun or sniper loadout, hi cap is more usefull.
Any noobs wanna give their reason?

same goes for distration, even with a thermal sniper RTM's are way better

I used them when my alt got the vargen, provided you can read the game and anticipate your opponents moves they can be quite effective. Kills from them are more gratifying than with other mines.... I had a triple kill wif one on outpost, made me lol.

Im lvl 27, I use distraction and timed mines. I still need "insult to injury" and "i.e.d." in the combat abilities.

I hate hi cap because of the glitch, so I use timed mines on my level 26 profile. No they're not as good as rtms, but they work for a lot of things. Campers on outpost and memorial especially. better than grenades because of the lack of warning. I get ied kills with them too. Stuck one to a guy the other day, that was funny. And any time you throw one randomly and get a kill you have to laugh. I'll use distraction too, hi cap just pisses me off too much.

On my main I use rtm exclusively, but I don't think timed are useless. Just take a lot more skill to be effective.

Though I don't use distraction, it's perfect for playing heroes, killing camper heroes.

They're fine if you simply think of them as a sticky grenade. It's an extra source of KABOOM and when you have nothing else handy can be a reasonably effective way of dislodging campers from their little forts. Helpful enough when you know how to destroy boat room campers in Docks but aren't leveled up enough to have RTMs.

I too would have been tempted to run Hi Cap mags but that glitch just ruins the point of it.

Distraction and Timed mines are beast nuff said'
You can spam distraction and run into the place and kill em all
Throw a timed mine and then a grenade and you have the affects of an RTM.
I agree that using timed mines take some skill that i myself do not have.
