Seriously though, I've never seen that before. I'd imagine its hardware/calibration rather than connection.

i tried doing the "improvised" accolade with a buddy once, we tried at first seeing if we could do the bulk of the damage via melee with the other guy using bio... but we kept one-shotting each other. even with RA + BB... i've also survived melees with no bio or RA on. this game just has weird glitches sometimes, and they don't seem to be universal or consistent.

crappy hardware = dumb glitches... my wii mote stick all the time on multiplayer, but i've never turned the wrong direction. more like a refusal to turn at all, and i'll just run directly into a wall.

do you have a different wii mote you can use? does it do that glitch no matter how close or far away you are from the sensor?

Two things:

From the Wii menu, check your Sensor Bar Sensitivity. You should see two dots blinking intermittently. That's the IR that that the Wiimote picks up from the sensor bar.

If you see any others, you can usually lower the sensitivity till you see just the two, but will probably have to move closer to the TV.

If the lights are blinking slowly, then you have to increase the sensitivity (but if that were a problem you'd be seeing the slashed red circle during gameplay intermittently to signal that the Wiimote was out of range).

Your issue looks like what might happen if there were a light source off to the left. I have windows to the left of my TV that often get serious sunlight, and when that happens my sensor bar shows about a dozen flickering dots off to the left, and it makes it impossible to play.

If that's the issue, you have to find a way to eliminate the light source. I have to hang heavy drapes when the sun is bad.

The other thing that may help is in the custom settings for the Wiimote in GE. Turn While Offscreen should be ON and Auto Recenter should be OFF. When I was experimenting with Wiimote settings a while back, that combination solved a lot of weird cursor issues at various sensitivities.
