Need help with a boss ***SPOILERS***

The Great Sacred Treasure, specifically. I watched a video but I still can't find the safe zone for avoiding the instant death attack. Not to mention, the attack pulls you in so quickly, you don't really have time to look for one. What the hell do I do? Where am I supposed to be looking? I died like 5 times and just gave up. >_>

You move to the part of the stage that isn't glowing to avoid it.

I can't seem to find it. It's probably too far away for me to ever run over there in time. =/
