So far the Story missions have been ridiculously easy and short. The story is also unintentionally hilarious with the excessive cursing and cheesy dialog.
I'm having more fun in Career Mode. 84 missions in Free Racing ( think Midnight Club ), Time Attack, Rampage ( destroy a set number of opponents ), Demolition Run ( do stunts and break stuff for points ), Killing Road ( no rules racing with tough opponents ), Afterburner ( destroy everything ) and Elimination Races ( last person each lap is eliminated until there is only the winner ).
It looks good, there's some nice lighting effects, controls are good ( not too slippery or floaty ), the few different cars I've driven have all handled differently, 50 cars to unlock, the map seems pretty big, music is pretty decent...
I've only played it a little over an hour.
Is it worth full price ? As I always say ' Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ' when it comes to games. I traded three games I never play any more and got it pretty much for free ( Chrono Trigger DS, Wii Sports Resort and Red Steel 2 ). I got decent trade values on those games plus an added 20% bonus because of a trade deal Gamestop is running and my PowerUp card.
Those are my thoughts on Driver so far.. --- Go Go Big Underpants ! http://i.3dporch.com/yyez.wiggle.gif
just spent 30 min on it and already Im at the 5th mission. missions are too short but at least the cars handle nicely. wouldve been nice to see a few on-foot missions just to break up the driving levels but oh well... --- If you believe in Jesus and are 100% proud of it put this as your sig Playing Splinter Cell 3D (Score 9/10) Asphalt 3D (Score 8/10)
