Wait a minute (Traverse Town and Symphony of Sorcery spoilers)

Didn't they say that beating Spellican was Neku and the other players' mission during your second visit to Traverse Town?

You don't beat that thing until the end of Sora's visit to the Symphony of Sorcery, about a world or two later.

Geez, hope they had time for Sora to get through Country of the Musketeers at his own pace, because he seemed to forget all about Spellican until after that world.

tbf, they aren't really on a real mission since they're, like, not alive anymore, or something.

TWEWY SPOILERS: In theory, Joshua should have been the one in control of their Game anyway, so he should be able to say that just driving it away from Traverse Town counts as defeating it.

Well, there goes my plan. >_>

I was going to be very clever and pedantic by looking at Neku's timer at the beginning of the first visit compared to his timer in the second. I was entirely prepared to say, "Look at that. Not much time passed for them at all. They must have had time for Sora to beat CotM."

But upon checking...in the second visit, you only see their timers during a flashback where Neku's timer is actually higher than it was in the first visit. >_>

I guess that would work.

If the flashback took place before Sora and Neku met, then yes. If not, then not really.
