Describe your opinion of each main title in the final fantasy series (1-14)
This is not a bash topic. This is just describing your opinion. ABSOLUTELY NO hating peoples comments.
1 - great rpg
2 - also good but levelling system is crap cos you can powerlevel easily
3 - insanely difficult and unfair sometimes but still great
4 - great, one of the best and not too challenging
5 - handles the job systems well
6 - KEFKA! and the great story and characters
7 - the game that impacted the gaming industry. overrated though
8 - junction system was crap cos you can get overpowered before the first dungeon ( i had max stats and the ultimate weapons for every character before even half of disk 1)
9 - great fantasy rpg but time consuming minigames (im talking to you chocobo hot and cold). underrated
10 - great rpg, great gameplay, great graphics for the time, best FF for me, got me hooked into RPGs but story and characters are slightly crap and the game is too linear
11 - sqaure enixs s***
12 - good but doesnt feel like a final fantasy to me
13 - square enix doesnt care anymore except graphics
14 - (walks out of room and s**** on square enix)
this is my opinion.

I crapped on all from 10-2 to 14. dead. bye bye square.
Xenoblade for the Wii is a GREAT game!
I - Great game, and a wonderful start to the series. Unfortunately, I played it so late in life, that I could not appreciate it as much because of its simplicity.
II - One of my least favorites, but not at all a bad game. I did not care for the leveling system either. (Although the leveling system was the most realistic if you think about it).
III - Enjoyed the DS title very much. I love customizing characters, but V did this better if you ask me.
IV - One of my favorites, and the first Final Fantasy I completed (II on SNES). Interesting story, fantastic soundtrack, ATB system, loved it all.
V - Customization made this a lot of fun. Did not care too much for the story though. (But, like the first game, I also played this too late to enjoy it the way I would have when it originally came out).
VI - My absolute favorite. Story, characters, exploration of 2 worlds, great villain, best soundtrack, best 2D graphics, etc.
VII - I also loved this one a lot, when it came out. A fantastic game, memorable characters, good music, etc. (I understand why this game is loved by so many, but I honestly feel it's due to the PSX influx of gamers. AKA, people who played the SNES games most likely enjoyed those more).
VIII - Hated the game, then loved it. One of the best soundtracks, characters with a lot of personality (Irvinne is actually my favorite, personality wise), great movie clips, and a junction system that was good, but at the same time, annoying.
IX - My second favorite. This game reminds me of a modern day IV (well, it did in 2000). It was Sakaguchi's favorite, and I completely understand why: amazing soundtrack, GREAT humor and dialogue, interesting characters, etc.
X - As much as I loved this game, I feel it renders the same praise as VII did, except this had the PS2 influx of gamers. I think VII and X were the first Final Fantasy games for many gamers, and thus warrants special attention; I kind of feel the same way about IV, but I love VI more. Still though, just about everything about this game is great.
XI - I actually loved playing this game in 2004, PS2 release. I met many amazing friends (some of whom I still speak to on Facebook) and we created unforgettable memories. Sure it wasn't a mainstream singleplayer title, but it was an incredible online experience.
XII - A fantastic game in its own right. People hated it because the battling was completely different from past entries, but that does not make it bad. It received stellar reviews from pretty much every gaming site. Great characters (Balthier needs his own game), militaristic story was a nice spin.
XIII - The cutscenes were enjoyable, but that was pretty much it. Played through it once in two weeks and never went back. (I also beat XII within its first two weeks but went back many times afterward).
XIV - I admit, I am actually playing this now. Sometimes it can be fun, but most of the time it is not, at all. Luckily, I met a nice group of people and we play together.
^cool. anyone else?
1) Ok RPG. I like the PSP anniversary one, but it lacks a hardmode and I feel like it would have been easy to flesh some things out more. Whatever.
2) I didn't finish this one. I liked the leveling concept, but I don't think your stats should decay as easily. IF someone wants to powerlevel... eh, let em. I hate seeing any progress I accrue be undone.
(skipping a bunch I haven't played)
7) Good, but I've never gotten past the first disc. The music is probably the thing I liked the most, it really stirs my emotions up and makes me feel like I'm part of the game's world. It's just before my time, hasn't been touched up at all, so I found it difficult to get into.
9) I liked this one, but I think games like this desperately need a skip scene feature and less missables.
10) The best of the classic ones imho. Loved the music, blitzball, etc.
12) I hated vaan, hated the plotstyle, hated penelo, hated combat for the most part, hated the summons, hated the MQs, but damn basch and balthier are hot enough to rectify all of that.
13) I actually liked 13, mostly the combat/music/graphics, everything else was meh. Oh yeah, shirtless snow, I'd lick him all over. Glad this came with a skipscene feature.
That's all I've played. In general I think they should slap a skipscene and NG+ to FF games, I think that'd make them soo much more replayable.
1- still a great game no matter how many times played (NES version the best)
2- the story was good but level system was thankfully dropped after this one too simple
3- not bad little too hard though
4 great story and game over all
5- the characters were funny in this game good over all
6- one of my personal faviorate final fantasy games love the characters and the story
7- the golden game of them all second fav did not like that you loose a character
8- well the story is good the characters are good need a little more development
9- after eight final fantasy started going down hill with characters and story no offense to any one
10- as I said DOWN hill I finished this game just to say to a friend I played it all the way through
10.2- This is the last one I played did not even finished nor do I plan to play any father in the numbers it is not worth it it is painful
1 - Pretty good, I enjoyed what I played of it. Full White Mage party FTW.
2 - I never got to far but I want to. I want to pick it up for PSP and give it another shot.
3 - I won't lie, I enjoyed it, a lot. Its not my fave though
4 - When I first played it, it was mindblowing and touching but I think its been over done and the past couple years.
5 - Love this one. Lovelovelove
6 - I'm enjoying this one quite a bit, not sure when I'll finish it though
7 - See #4
8 - No comment :/ because I don't want the fanboys to burn me
9 - See #5
10 - See #8
11 - Haven't played
12 - Eh, its okay. I like that it takes place in the same universe as the FFTA series
13 - Mixed feelings, not sure how to express them D:
14 - Haven't played
I honestly play more of the side games and spinoffs and like them better too.
Fave Games: Final Fantasy IX, Avalon Code, Dragon Quest IV, Knights in the Nightmare, Threads of Fate, Rune Factory(1,2,3), Phantom Brave, and PoPoLoCrois <3
1 - Good for a first game, but nothing really awesome outside of that.
2 - Good and Bad leveling system all at once, good story though.
3 - I liked the DS one, didn't play the other.
4 - Really good, every port of it has been fun, the PSP one especially.
5 - Good game, lacks some balance and some Jobs I'd like to see, but really good.
6 - The best thing Square ever did save for Chrono Trigger.
7 - I don't understand why people think it's the best, hardly any of the main cast was developed well, all of it's spinoffs were bad (especially the movie), it was good, but not great.
8 - What you said about the Junction system isn't possible that early (I know cause I did it all following a guide), but you are right, too easy, fun though, but all the good characters got no real developement (Anyone NOT Squall and Rinoa).
9 - Really good game, next to FF6, they got everything right here, even Balance.
10 - Really good game here to, the Sphere Grid could have been better (giving Khimari one) but all and all fun, Tidus is also the most realistic game character ever made.
11 - Grindy MMO, not really bad if you have a good guild though.
12 - Really terrible game the you don't even play, it's story isn't even good.. The only good thing to come out of this game was Vaan, and they didn't give him a plot. Over Half the cast (Anyone not Ashe) contributed nothing to the game, and the characters people seem to like are terrible (Hi Baltheir..).
13 - The first FF where I actually like the main cast, all real characters with good development, the gameplay was fast later on, but the first 30 hours of this game really hurt it. The first 30 hours of 13 is one of the worst games I've played. After that it's one of the best FF's.
14 - Never played it, heard it was so bad they had to apologize though :p.
Taylor Lautner - Giving me strength since the New Moon
Note that my 1st Final fantasy game is in the PS1 era, so don't judge me XD
I - Kind of meh to me. Not really that good but not really bad. But I do have to be grateful since this is the FF that started the golden series.
II - Never played it till the end, disliked the leveling system.
III - Played the DS version. Not a bad game, nice music and story.
IV - Played the DS version. A pretty good one with a nice plot and all.
V - Never played it. Hoping that it will get a remake on the 3DS.
VI - Played it for a little while on my friend's Gameboy SP. The starting of the game has already attracted me, but I have yet to get the game ^^"
VII - First Final Fantasy I've played. I really liked most of the stuffs in this one, especially Cid Xd
VIII - 2nd FF that I've played. Godammnit it's boring like hell in my opinion ^^"
IX - 3rd one I've ever played, and my favorite and best Final Fantasy in my own opinion. Best character development, nice setting, music and all. It get's a perfect score from me, the the super slow battle speed and useless trance reduces its score.
X - Romance is not my favorite, but it's my sis's favorite. I played it because she wanted to see Yuna and Tidus' romance. Not a bad story, but missed the world map exploration.
XI - Online game + subscription? Naw.
XII - One of my favorite RPG on the PS2. Rabanastre is the kind of town that I want in a Final Fantasy game. It is so lively and very impressive. Too bad the storyline about politics never really got me into the game much.
XIII - Was so hyped up about the game, 1st game I played on my PS3. This FF is the total opposite of FFXII, better character development but less exploration. Hated the super linearity of the map. Do not talk about Archylte Steppe to me, it's just a big chunk of land with endless turtle and monster with a few talking crystal.
XIV - Heard it was so bad, and it is online. So nopes for me.
XV (Yet to come) - Hoping it is directed by Hiroyuki Ito and composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Since it's the 3rd FF of this gen, hopefully it'll be a throwback like FFVI, FFIX and FFXII to remind this gen how a Final Fantasy should be. :)
