Nintendo's 3DS saw a substantial increase in sales this week, owing in no small part to the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Sales for the 3DS jumped 99 per cent, surging from 93,989 units sold last week to 187,077 units sold.

Gotta admit, happy that AC is doing THIS well, i mean don't get me wrong, i was expecting it to be a success but didn't think there'd be such a huge gap and drive their 3DS sales THAT much! --- Do all you people just post just to complain about the opinions of others?

And how much more money and systems sold they would get by releasing it world-wide December-January...

Yup. The Streetpass thing here is crazy. More than half the people I streetpass with seem to be playing AC nowadays. I got my model house park filled in a single day O.o
