Shoot I still remember all those bags of money I have in the basement of City Folk. Is there a ATM Card in this one?

Just ran into this problem myself. It seems the max I can carry around in my "wallet" is 99,999 Bells. Everything else needs to be either in bags or in the bank. Is there really no alternative to those two?

Put it in your bank? There's absolutely no reason to carry that much.

In my opinion, there's no reason to NOT be able to carry that much. In games of the past, limitations on memory were awry, so having things like banks or boxes to store things in for the time being were absolutely necessary. I can't imagine that being the case for this game. So now we're forced to pool money into an ATM past a certain point, and make unnecessary trips there every time we breach that amount? That's silly, and I find it hard to believe. I recall seeing a picture of a royal crown in the accessories shop that was 1,200,000 Bells. How would that even be possible to buy without a bigger wallet, or perhaps an ATM card like someone above suggested?

You have to have the extra 1,100,001 bells with you as bags in your inventory. I agree that it's pretty dumb.
