Where are the fireworks?!?!

There needs to be a sticky saying what holidays are in, lol.

But no, there is no 4th of July in New Leaf. Only in GC and City Folk.

Ugh, another one? I'm not being mean but the world is not America.

I'm an American and I'm annoyed at these.

I'm Canadian and you don't see me complaining about there not being any Canada Day celebrations in AC. To be honest, I completely forgot Canada Day even happened, I was just reminded of its presence by this thread.

I look forward to this holiday. I am american and like to set off fireworks and celebrate our country and freedom. I don't care if the game was made in Japan. Its a big holiday for a lot of us and they should have put it in for us.

Yeah I was playing this waiting for the sun to go down today, and was very disappointed :(

I guess it's just this, because they have specific items and holidays for each region.

It's just... Weird to leave America's most important holiday out.

It's not you liking a game, it's you thinking it's so mainstream everyone played it.

It's not as annoying as the people who completely forget that previous Animal Crossing games had fireworks on the 4th of July, and that the game has many other region-specific holidays.

...

Okay look guys, although this post sort of makes us Americans sound like self-entitled babies, it is a reasonable question to wonder why there aren't any fireworks considering it was celebrated in previous AC titles and that there are regional holidays. July 4th is an important day for us, and yes North America doesn't consist entirely of the USA, but still, the previous titles had this important holiday so of course we're going to be a little confused, bothered even, when we find out it isn't in this installment.

It's a Japanese game.

Go figure.

I don't see the problem with expecting one of America's largest holidays (as far as importance is concerned) to be in the game when many other countries have holidays specific to them in the game. Especially when it was in previous games and removed from this one for some reason.

According to the Prima guide, there are Fireworks every Sunday in August. You can buy sparklers and stuff from Isabelle and buy tickets from Redd that may win your prizes.
