Prima Guide, Seriously...?

#1couchtater4444Posted 7/13/2013 3:17:32 AM
The Prima guide lists so much random, useless information about all of the animal villagers, but it doesn't even list their personalities. What gives?

The rest of the guide is actually pretty nice. It's a great checklist/source for everything. Sure I can find that online, but it's much nicer to have on my phone to look everything up very quickly.

It's common knowledge by now that Prima guides are totally crap, and actually don't work in collaboration with the game developers and often misinterpret actual game mechanics due to rushing out the guide in time for launch.

It's ridiculous how poor they are when the internet in general can tell you everything you'll need, thanks to the existence of the Japanese title or previous instalments.
If the Prima guide truly doesn't have a grasp of villager personalities that is just laughable.

The guide is...rubbish IMO. I use the item index at the back as my checklist and some items either don't exist (sun cosmos) or the translation is wrong (eg. School shoes in-game = Mary Jane in the prima guide). Would've been better to just print off a checklist instead of using this bulky crap. The items have picture but they are so randomly placed and not all of the details are accurate (Sahara walls & floors for example)? The list of problems with the prima guide keeps increasing as I play this game.

The Racoon wall clock is mislabeled as non orderable. Queenie is also listed as an octopus.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf is not a 12 year old game.
