New Leaf is amazing. It's been consuming almost all my free time lately, trying to develop my town into a beautiful tourist attraction. --- "The best things in life must be taken... by force!" ~Khan from Rosetown, 4184-1827-7503
I think AC was definitely the best choice, yup, that way you get to experience more events, like the firework shows and the August Bug off contest. The first week can be a little low but it starts to open up a lot after that, it's pretty fun seeing the changes in your town as it develops. Hope you continue to enjoy it! --- 3DS FC: 2277 6741 7893 AC:NL Ash in Mizuho
I'd decided before the 3DS & Wii U released that I was going to take chances on games I normally wouldn't even be interested in.
with Nintendo that's pretty much why they exist now and will until likely the end of time. They give you the things those "other" guys won't touch or try because they're too focused on the jacked up space marines and chest high walls to take the risks and commit on games focused around "FUN" instead of frustration or online t-bag festivals.
If you buy ports of games from the other consoles it'll likely end in tears, but Nintendo first and second party exclusives are pretty much all fantastic, if not a bit quirky, experiences you won't get anywhere else, and it's why they'll persevere through pretty much anything. The others try from time to time to steal the thunder, but they never quite capture the same magic(I'm looking at you, Sony All Stars).
This game is my first Animal Crossing experience as well, and I've been hooked. I bought it digitally since at the time I was sick, it was 3am, and I didn't feel like playing anything gritty or potentially frustrating, so I figured "why not, I'll give it a shot", and I haven't played anything else since haha
