Inviting Villagers

I think it would be cool for you to invite a certain villager to your town. Since in this one you are gonna be mayor. Does anyone agree?

Yes and no.

I think you'd have to at least meet them first, like when you visit a friend's town and talk to their neighbors, you'll be able to ask them to move to your town.

Of course that wouldn't mean the other person loses them, but maybe like a carbon copy or something.

Just calling any old dude from nowhere is kinda weird.

I'd actually prefer if the other player lost them. Not to be mean, but just because it gives a larger sense of a real in-game community.

I do like this idea, though. Even if it's just for temporary visits. Maybe you invite them over, they follow you around, and you show off your town to make them move in? That way it's challenging.
