When I got this game back when it came out, I didn't play it too much and didn't learn the mechanics to be a good player. I mostly played Mario Kart Wii online with a friend.
Anyways, in the past week, I've been playing a lot of Mario Kart 7 and I can honestly say I'm in love with it. I think it's the best Mario Kart yet. The graphics are great and the game is fun. I try playing Mario Kart Wii the same way as I play Mario Kart 7 and I remember I can't do that.
I kind of prefer most of Mario Kart Wii's tracks but I'm beginning to like Mario Kart 7's tracks more. But yeah, Mario Kart 7 is awesome. I'm getting better at it too and online is a blast.

You do realize MKW and MK7 pretty much use the same mechanics engine, formula and graphics right?. it plays 99% the same as MKW. how exactly is it hard to go back and play?. i just call MK7 "MKW pt 2.", now on a handheld with new features and courses. they're both great games. don't give up on MKW so fast. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/OldSchoolGaming4Life?feature=mhee 3DS FC: 1375-7268-6996 (PM me for teh add)
Actually, I have noticed that this game is quite different from MKW, gameplay wise. That's why I prefer this, a lackluster game, over a MKW, a complete experience. --- An old man once told me: "No old man is to be trusted". 3DS FC: 0302 - 0503 - 0747
I agree with you, this game along with 64 and Double Dash I would come back to years later because out of the series IMO they offer a whole lot of fun and challenge. --- 3DS friend code: 5456-0116-3596 Xbox Gamertag: RiotB1ade
