ehh... MKW kinda had awful graphics for the console it was on... --- So I'm still waiting for Daisy to reappear in something that's not a spinoff. I'll probably end up dying first or something but optimism is fun.
Yeah, even DD has better graphics than the 3DS version. What's funny about MKW is how they used the exasct same rendered designs from DD of some players: Bowser, Bowser Jr, Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong. Check it out.
You're probably basing the graphics in terms of what console it was on so yeah that look about right. But I can't see the graphics changing that much anymore. They might add more texture to the environment and characters but they'll keep that style. --- Pokemon Black FC: 1077 0194 8641
I dunno. It might be just me, but the 3DS version seems to have better lighting and detail than MK:DD. I'd switch the last three to: MK:DD < MK: 3DS < or = MK:W. Don't really think it was all the way up to Wii level (which wasn't even that great), but it looks like it comes close.. At least from those videos. Maybe my eyes are messed up.
^ This. Many game sites are saying the 3DS' graphics are about in between the Gamecube and Wii, but in all honestly I haven't seen one 3DS game that looks as good as even a GC launch title... I don't own a 3DS (yet) but it's the one gripe I have with it. Everyone thought "Oh man, the graphics on the 3DS look better then the PSP!" and then the Vita was announced and now the graphics on the 3DS already look dirt-poor. :( --- There is a special feeling about being able to go through a once hard level with relative ease. Most current gen games seem to lack this... Do you agree?
Like, look at pixelated edges of the windmills. Also, look at the bridge, they're just flat sprites, whereas the bridges had fully-rendered planks in Mario Kart: DD. Of course, when you're racing you never notice these things.
