Paper Mario: Sticker Star

Well, I had to make an exception for the Bros, using worn out stuff. I'm halfway through worlds 2 and 3, and 1 just wants to kill this run. Megaflash Goomba isn't getting hurt by my Tails, and neither is Buzzy. Since Buzzy is optional, I can't make an exception for him, so I might have to skip him, the heart, the comet piece, AND the secret door. Ouch. As for Goomba, I can spike him, but it only deals 3 damage and I'd need like 30 of them to kill him. The attack pattern I observed seems to be holding up, but when he rolls at me the tail does nothing. I might have to fight him as the 4th or 5th boss the way this is going, because I'm going to need Shinies and Flashies for him. Or, how hard is it to get these from paperize blocks?

Moving on to world 2 I guess. I can't use the Bat so Pokey might have to be the 5th boss too. I can use the Sponge and spike Gooper but the problem is when he gets poisoned he starts missing and I can't hurt him. Where is this going? All roads seem to lead to Petey from the looks of it. Will it really be Shiny Petey time, before I beat Goomba? We'll see.
