Help with W2 boss (spoilers)

I know I need to use the bat, my question is do I need to use more than one? Or is their just a certain time I should use the one bat?

Wait until three or four segments are out of the ground, not including the head.

In the battle, use the bat once all of the Pokey's segments are exposed. Once the bat is used, the segments will get knocked away and will not reappear in the battle.

If you ever need the bat again, you can either repurchase it from a Toad near the Sling-A-Thing for about 300 coins or you can make your way through the Ruins once more to find it again in the coffin.

You can't have more than one bat, anyway.

he never grew higher than two segments high (not counting his head of course) when i fought him for some reason. So i used really weak stickers waiting dfor him to fully come out but he never did, is i eventually killed one of his segments and never grew it back after that..

sigh so many stickers wasted

That's because he has 4 segments and his head. Once he takes 50 damage, he loses a segment. Bat can instantly remove all segments that are visible, but so can dealing 50 damage per segment. Once he has 100 or less HP, he will remain just a head, attacking and healing all the same as before.

How I beat him was:

I ignored the bonus spin. I purposefully failed it. I proceeded to use a hopslipper to do some damage, but not enough to discourage the fellow.

...and rinse and repeat until he got up to five segments, then I used the bat and mashed A until it gave a home run to every segment! :D Then I started using the bonus spin and whittled away its health to 0. :)

As for when the green guys appear, I just used a shell in those instances.

You know I'm curious if Flashy Infinijump stickers are capable of dealing damage to Crown Sticker Bosses.

If that is indeed the case it may be possible to KO Pokey in a single turn, he has 300 HP and if you used three Infinijump stickers in a row, especially after using a POW-block battle spinner combo...ya see?

Also yes, Infinijump stickers are by all means obtainable that early in the game.
By jumping into the sand-pit area in W2-1 as I recall, there are Flashy Clone Jump stickers immediately available.
Putting a Flashy Clone Jump sticker into an upgrade block will return either that same sticker, or a Flashy Infinijump Sticker.

^Yes, they can, and yes, you can get a Perfect Bonus for it.

And it was the secret comet piece room in 2-3 that has the Flashy Clone Jump, not 2-1.

If I decide to do a second run of the game, then I am definitely going to try for a perfect bonus on Crown Pokey.
Does Kersti still complain that you wasted a lot of stickers on the fight? :P

Ah that's right, it was the secret comet piece room indeed, not the first level with the sinking sand treasure room.
Point stands: Infinijump Stickers are accessible early on.
I wonder if GameFAQs will accept "Early Infinijump Stickers" as a secret?
