Also, a lot of "changes" that involve things occurring faster than before are not actually changes per se, it's simply the result of improved frame rate.

For example, even the GCN re-releases of this game (and MQ) greatly sped up the ending cinematic where Ganon's Keep collapses. It was slow on the N64 due to the weaker hardware.

Also you can't listen to a ocarina tune then practice it in the collected tunes list. Looking at the staff of a specific tune and you play the tune whilst looking at the staff plays activates the tune.

A couple more things I learned today:

1) You can no longer get the Fire Arrows before the Water Medallion. It used to be you could get the Longshot, fire an arrow into the sun, then use the Scarecrow's Song to get to the island while the lake was still drained. In the remake, you have to have the Water Medallion, making Pierre's being there kind of pointless.

2) You now have to play the Song of Storms to the frogs in Zora's River before you can get the second one from the bug-catching mini-game. In the original, you could reverse the order, allowing you to get one more Heart Piece before becoming an adult.
