I know obviously God of War 3 is extremely different stylistically, but I definitely felt similarities. The lighting, the way the camera moves, the focusing. Did anyone else feel this?
I'm sure the fact that they were both programmed at Santa Monica had a lot to do with this.

I wouldn't say graphical similarities, but I know what you mean =)
I took a film class in high school, one of the major aspects was the cinematography (camera angles, lighting, zooms, pans, etc.)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy VII are great examples of this as well, especially in a game where there isn't any spoken dialogue. --- ...thought I might drown but it's hard to keep a good man down... PSN: italynstallyn

I didn't think about God of War at all while playing it. However, The companions, environments, and flying dragons all reminded me of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus.
