Where the heck do I find Aether?

So I'm on the quest to kill the water monster.. I went to the gave and retrieved the Fulgur but I can't seem to find any information pertaining to the aether that I'm still missing.

Yep, I'm having the same problem. I've checked three merchants in the town and Cedric (the elf dude) outside the town, but none of them sell aether.

I believe aether composes alchemical substances, and not any item in particular. They'll be named stuff like Vitriol, Quebrith, Sol, and Vermilion.

So how do I craft some? I don't have a recipe for any.

Just pick up alchemy ingredients like nekker eyes, vials of blood, plants, herbs, that sort of thing. One of them should contain aether. Scleroderm and elemental stones come to mind.

If I remember correctly, each alchemical ingredient has a component its made of like Arthas mentioned above. Aether is one of those types. There are several different ingredients that have the same component so it shouldn't be too hard to track down.

Oh! I get it! There is no ingredient called Aether, but instead several ingredients belong to the Aether family, so when a formula calls for Aether I just need something from the Aether category of ingredients.

Thanks for the clarification
